What's In My Bag? // A Fine Art Film Natural Light Wedding Photographer's Camera Gear Breakdown
What equipment do we use on a wedding day? It’s a question we get asked often, and we totally understand why! It is intimidating to understand all the gear options out there. They’re expensive, and you want to get it right the first time around!
Let me start off by saying: there are many trends in the wedding photography world, but we believe in crafting images that will stand the test of time - and we believe film is the perfect tool to do that. Yet it's just that - a tool.
The tool does not make the artist great, the artist and their eye is what creates a phenomenal image at the end of the day.
That being said, good camera equipment is important in order to produce high-quality images that serve your clients well for decades. We capture the majority of our images with the Contax 645 and 80mm Carl Zeiss lens; however, we pick and choose our tools depending on the amount of natural light and intended final product.
Below is a list of the gear we carry with us on a wedding day, and the gear we use to edit and produce final images.
