Introducing Zach

It’s true: my husband Zach is now officially part of the KSC team!

It's hilarious that things have come full circle like this. If we're talking technically, Zach actually started this photography business back in 2013/2014. It wasn't until I assisted him photographing multiple weddings that I realized I could make a living with photography! He wasn't ready to run a business at the time, so he handed his gear to me and encouraged me to continue running with photography... and here we are!

Zach will be spearheading a lot of the behind the scenes aspects of the business, as well as shooting weddings with me and working on a fun, crazy new project that we'll be announcing soon! He’s the kind of guy who’s just so good at everything it isn’t fair. He’s a natural athlete with incredible surf skill, the most thoughtful and patient person I know, an adventurer, adrenaline junkie, creative genius, and my best friend. He's truly the coolest human I know, so it’s time to get to know him and his endless talents.

Take it away, Z!

- Tell us a little about yourself

I’m an outdoor enthusiast who loves to capture genuine moments on camera. While it was initially my photography interest that got us in the wedding industry (yes, you’re looking at the original founder of KSC right now), it has been Kasey’s passion that got us to where we are today. You can usually find me in the ocean surfing, or on a skateboard if we are not at the beach.

I have always loved creating and capturing moments - taking something that is passing by our eye and turning it into an image that will last forever.

- Why are you most excited about being a part of KSC?

Getting to wake up and go to work with my wife. She has been motivating and encouraging to me personally, and now I get to experience that in my profession as well!

- Name five things you love

  1. My wife

  2. Tacos

  3. Motorcycles

  4. Golden retrievers

  5. The ocean

- Describe your ideal weekend

At the beach in the fall, it’s still warm so hanging out and surfing all day. Then a bonfire and camping on the beach at night. Rinse, repeat until it’s Monday.

- What is one thing you couldn't live without?

My flashlight (I like gear)

- If someone had never met you, how would you describe yourself to them?

Calm, talkative, activity driven, slightly ADHD, entertaining

- What is your favorite part of a wedding day?

As a guest, dancing. As a photographer, bride and groom portraits.

- Dream vacation?

Mentawai four seasons, or a boat trip in the Maldives

- 3 fun facts about yourself

  1. I can solve a Rubix cube in under a minute

  2. I’m left and right handed
