Introducing: Kasey Smith Creative!
I can't believe it's finally time to introduce Kasey Smith Creative!
For quite some time, I have felt a tug on my heart towards a more flexible brand name - something that allows me to create beautiful things without the constraint of the name "Kasey Poly Photography." Yet - fear has been holding me back. Change is scary.
As many of you know, I love to create in many different forms: from photography to songwriting, painting to calligraphy. Why box myself in? The word "creative" is finally giving me a little breathing room, and I am so grateful for the Lord's hand in it all. My plan was to release this brand almost a full year ago, but He knew. He knew I needed time to adjust over some crazy life changes this past year (casual changes, just marriage and graduating and moving twice...) He knew I needed rest and personal growth. But...
It is finally time to combine my two loves!
Kasey Smith Creative offers bespoke paper goods specifically for weddings (invitation suites, calligraphy, and other beautiful day-of goods), all while continuing to offer fine art film photography.
My brand vision extends far beyond what it currently is, but growth happens one step at a time - so here's a peek at my new vibe, one that is inspired by organic textures, simplicity, and classic neutrals. My goal was to make it actually feel like a breath of fresh air. So, naturally - lots of white space, light imagery, uncluttered content, and a soft, romantic color palette. I finally feel like my brand is "me!"
A large part of why I love what I do is that it allows me to create beautiful art without becoming entirely antisocial. Most art is a very individual practice, and I am forever grateful that I get to work closely with wonderful people around the world, developing relationships while simultaneously creating. (Just call me an introverted extrovert?)
Part of this rebrand is inspired by the idea of connection; I am beginning to be more intentional about getting to know each of you and allowing you to know me. I want to share my life with you, make you comfortable around me, give you confidence in trusting me, and maybe... let's be like, real, actual friends?!
Social media is slowly but surely destroying our world's social structure, and I want to fight against that. I want to know YOU. I want you to know ME. I want to be present and intentional.
I want to love and serve people like Jesus did.
This, to me, is so much more important than a beautiful or successful brand.
This rebrand process forced me sit down and analyze the purpose behind my business, and it transformed my heart.
